Chairperson of the Jordanian National Commission for Women (JNCW), HRH Princess Basma bint Talal, met on Tuesday with Zahra Rada, wife of Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, who is currently on an official visit to the Kingdom. The two reviewed issues pertaining to women in Jordan and Iran and efforts to empower women, as well as increase their participation in public life and in decision-making processes. Rada also briefed the princess on women’s laws in Iran and latest amendments to civil status laws in the Islamic republic.
