Myanmar is drafting its fourth and fifth national reports on elimination of all forms of discrimination against women which will be submitted to the UN concerned committee in August this year, state media reported Monday. The report writing committee comprises dozens of representatives from ministries, non-governmental organizations and civil society organizations. Myanmar Minister of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Daw Myat Myat Ohn Khin urged to strive for prompt emergence of the final report in cooperation with the UN Population Fund (UNFPA). Myanmar signed the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women in July 1997. Initial report was submitted in 1999, followed by the second and the third reports in 2007. However, it failed to submit the fourth one in 2010 due to various reasons
