The White House Christmas tree arrived Friday in Washington, greeted by Michelle Obama and her daughters, Sasha and Malia. The 18 1/2-foot Douglas fir arrived at the North Portico at 11 a.m. It will be placed in the Blue Room, one of the executive mansion's three state parlors. The tree was grown by Christopher Botek and Kyra Yurko, who own Christmas Spring Tree Farm in Lehighton, Pa. The couple escorted the tree to the White House along with John and Leslie Wyckoff, owners of Wyckoff's Christmas Tree Farm in Belvidere, N.J., who won this year's National Christmas Tree Association contest.
