President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, on Tuesday received a phone call from German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, during which she affirmed solidarity with Lebanon and supported all the ongoing efforts to restore stability in the country.

Merkel also confirmed to the President ongoing contacts among European countries to address the current crisis in Lebanon
