Participants in an international conference on women enterpreneurs' role in investment approved the "Tetouan Declaration," which called for supporting women contractors and businesswomen. The declaration proposed creating an international network for women contractors and businesswomen would be based in the Moroccan northern city of Tetouan. It urged governments to encourage funding for women contractors and women projects. It called for improving the image of the working woman, and supporting investment in villages. The conferees also called for having a full-fledged plan at the local, regional and international levels to exchange expertise on businesses.
