Zayed University organised its annual Career Fair in Dubai Campus yesterday, the 13th of April, with more than 60 participants from various institutions and organisations.The Career fair offered various employment opportunities that students could benefit from in different fields like Retail, Banking and Financial services, Hospitality, Media, IT, Education, Business, and Marketing. The annual Career Fair aims to support Emiratisation and provide work and training opportunities for Zayed University Students by attracting many organisations.Dr. Sulaiman Al Jassim, Vice President of Zayed University, said “The University acknowledges the importance of having strong relationships with various organizations in both sectors, as well as the importance to develop those communication ties with regional and international organisations to apply the best educational practices that led in offering courses that goes along with the job market”.“The University organises this event annually in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai Campuses to show the university’s great interest in providing job opportunities for its graduates and present the skills of its students. Also, this event aims to strengthen relationships between the institutions, public and private organisations and universities in the UAE.” Al Jassim added.Dr. Larry Wilson, Provost of Zayed University, said that the university aims to participate effectively in the different fairs and forms and to organising such events as well. He pointed out that this Career Fair plays an important role in building strong relations with other local and private institutes and companies which enforce the Emiratisation strategy.Salha Al Kas, Assistant Coordinator for Career & Employment, Student Affairs Department at Zayed University, Dubai, said the Career Fair this year, which was organised by the Enrollment Management Department, provides on-the-spot employment the initiative that was launched by the university recently aiming to improve the employment procedure to ensure employment for ZU students.“Job seekers should apply their resume to the Career Services Office at the university, that liaise with employers from various fields to identify vacancies and set up the job interviews on campus to save time and effort for both parties” Al Kas added.
