The University of Bahrain (UoB)\'s Community Development Center\'s directress, Mariam Y. Chaknam, stated that the total number of trainees who benefited from the On-Going Education Center has reached 645 male/female trainees from the public and private sectors in the past academic year 2012/2013 alone and that the number of beneficiaries since 2011 has reached 1530. She said that the total number of training courses reached forty in number provided for participants from the Ministry of Education which benefitted from thirty-nine courses, the Ministry of Interior benefited from ten courses, the Ministry of Transportation, the Bahrain Gas Company (BANGAS), the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Human Rights, the Ministry of Works, the Ministry of labor, the Ministry of Electricity and Water, the Bahrain Aluminum Company (ALBA), the Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company GPIC, the Bahrain Telecommunications Company (BATELCO), the Midal Cable Company, the Civil Aviation Affairs, the public Prosecution, and the Royal Medial Services, amongst others who benefitted the most from these training courses. The UoB\'s Community Development Center will offer thirty-two training courses for the upcoming academic year 2013/2014, including twenty-four courses in Arabic language as the medium of instruction. These courses include: safety, tenders and contracting, first aid, modern forecasting techniques and public budget preparation, human resources training diploma, emotional intelligence, fundamentals of customer service, advanced course on customer service, compiling feasibly studies , accountancy errors and detection thereof, coach training, performance appraisal skills, teachers professional diploma for private schools, intelligence quotient (IQ) measurement tests, preliminary statistics analysis, medium statistical analysis, advanced statistical analysis, report writing, preliminary e-publishing, advanced e-publishing, advanced Photoshop, preliminary photography, preliminary video production, kitchen (recipe) art, in addition to eight other courses in English as the medium of instruction.
