The Supreme Council of Universities under Higher Education Minister Ashraf el Sheehi agreed Wednesday on the establishment of Arish University in the governorate of North Sinai.

A committee from the Presidents of Egyptian Universities will visit North Sinai Governorate and inspect the faculties in Arish Branch of Suez Canal University to issue a decision to separate Arish Branch from the University, said Abdel Fattah Harhor, North Sinai governor.

Arish University will then include all the faculties to serve North Sinai students.
