Sana'a University council suspends classes for a week

Sanaa University has decided to suspend classes for one week as of Sunday protesting the appointment of a new president of the university by the deputy minister of higher education, who was selected by the Houthis.

A statement released by the trade union of staff members and employees of the university said if the decision was not abolished then the classes will be openly suspended.

The university council held a joint meeting with members of both syndicates on Tuesday to probe the situation and announced in a statement that all the resolutions issued by the deputy minister are categorically rejected
