A security source at the Interior Ministry denied news reports about rioting students setting fire to a faculty building at Al-Azhar University, eastern Cairo.
Nearly 60 students gathered outside the university’s Faculty of Agriculture and chanted slogans against the Armed Forces and the police, the source told MENA on Monday.
They all fled after being dispersed by security forces, the source said, adding that news about a fire being set by the students on campus are completely baseless.
