The Student Council and Theater Club at the Khalifa University organized a Talent Day at the National Theatre in Abu Dhabi. The evening was attended by the Emirati actor and playwright, Dr. Habib Ghuloom, Director of Cultural and Community Activities at the UAE\'s Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Dr. Arif Sultan Al Hammadi, Khalifa University\'s Executive Vice President, a number of university students, faculty and staff from both Abu Dhabi and Sharjah campuses. The event comprised a variety of activities, including an art and heritage exhibition, which showcased traditional photographs and handcrafts. The event\'s agenda also included a talent show, where a number of talented students and a faculty members performed on stage before a panel of judges. Talents ranged from drama, piano, poetry, storytelling to singing. The audience had a chance to vote for their favorite artist and the results awarded the talented stand-up comedian, Khalifa Al Tamimi as first prize winner. Second place went to the duo, Ali Al Khouri and Ahmed Al Ketbi for their comedy sketch, while the duo Fida Hussain and Rasha Tabashah were named third for their storytelling performance. During the evening, a pre-recorded candid camera event was on display having been previously filmed on the University campus under the administration of Abdullah Al Ameri. Finally, a special play was performed by a group of talented students, and written by Abdulla Al Shehi. The story revolved around a group of students who got kidnapped by a gang, which after keeping the students in custody for some time, decided to release the students as they realized their significance to the community as future engineers. Dr. Habib Ghuloom praised the performance of students and their diverse talents. He also encouraged them to keep up with their creations. Dr. Arif said: \"Khalifa University students always amaze us with their creativity and talents, which entertained the audience tonight. This comes in addition to the academic excellence and outstanding performance. It\'s apparent in achieving top places in various academic contests. We, at Khalifa University, strive to support any student talents and initiatives that contribute to the character-building and leadership qualities among students to be future leaders.\"
