Zagazig University will sign an agreement with COMESA to establish a research center to support the production and development in Africa, university president Ashraf al Shehhi said on Tuesday.

According to the agreement, the university will get $100 million support within the coming five years, he added at ceremony at the Zagazig University.

The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) is a free trade area with twenty member states stretching from Libya to Swaziland. It was formed in December 1994.
