Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb decided to grant 10 Lebanese students scholarships to study at Al Azhar.
This came during Tayyeb's meeting with Lebanese Mufti Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian.
The meeting took up means to boost cooperation between Azhar and the Lebanese Dar al Fatwa.
On the other hand, the Lebanese mufti voiced appreciation of Azhar's role in spreading the tolerant teachings of Islam.
