The Alexandria University Board agreed to grant six Masters and PhD scholarships to South Sudanese students as part of efforts to raise qualified scientific cadres needed in Nile-basin states.
The board, at a meeting on Wednesday, also agreed to a suggestion to grant 10 scholarships to Ethiopian students.
This year, the university decided to grant 25 scholarships to students of Nile-basin countries, up ten from the past year.
Students will be fully exempted from any fees.
