Education Minister Hilali Sherbini asserted the importance of partnership between Egypt and Japan in the field of education.
Sherbini pointed out to keenness of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to benefit from the successful education experiment in Japan.
This came during Sherbini’s meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Egypt Takehiro Kagawa and a delegation of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) within the framework of activating Egyptian-Japanese partnership to develop education in Egypt.
Takehiro lauded Sisi’s visit to Japan, saying that it is the first step on the right track to develop the education system in Egypt. He said it was not the first cooperation program between the two countries in the field of education.
Both sides reviewed executive steps to this partnership which aims at developing basic education via implementing several agreements and activities with the Japanese side including sending teachers and school principals to Japan to develop their abilities to innovate and developing ten Egyptian schools to stand as models to be generalized afterword.
