Education Minister

Deputy Education Minister Ahmed Al Geyoushi said Wednesday that the second stage of the development of technical and vocational schools in Egypt would cover sixty schools nationwide, including five facilities in Aswan.

According to the deputy minister, this phase is part of a seven-year-program that is funded by the European Union. The second phase would cost about 117 million euros.

The development plan reflects a successful partnership between Egypt and the EU with the aim of increasing competitiveness of Egyptian industrial products, the deputy minister said.

The second step of the program covers governance and promoting vocational education in the community to meet the needs of Egypt's employment market, he added
