Grand Imam of Al Azhar Dr Ahmed el Tayyeb received Tuesday a delegation of Germany's University of Freiburg.
The delegation includes university students and professors of the Islamic studies department.
The visit comes as part of the scientific exchange between Al Azhar University and University of Freiburg.
The German delegation greatly appreciated efforts exerted by Al Azhar University to give special lectures to German students on the explanation of Quran and comparison between religions.
The grand imam welcomed the delegates and said their presence sends a clear message of peace and intercommunication between the East and West.
