Prime Minister Sherif Ismail gave directives to set up 3,000 schools in various governorates to reduce the size of classes.
During a meeting Tuesday of the ministerial committee for services, Ismail ordered forming a committee comprising the ministers of local development, Awqaf, education and agriculture.
The committee will convene on Wednesday to decide the lands to be allocated for the schools.
The ministerial committee also decided on Tuesday that a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will be sent to the Housing Ministry to establish a station for treating industrial sewage in southern Port Said.
