Education Minister Abdul-Razaq al-Ashwal headed on Saturday for Britain on a several-day official visit. The visit aims at signing a cooperation agreement between the Education Ministry and the British Council, al-Ashwal said upon his departure. Under the agreement, the British Council trains all English teachers in the Ministry, and provides technical support for the English curriculums from the 4th grade to the 9th, he said. The council provides assistances to carry out some non-class activities and TV educational programs to enhance learning of English among students, he added. Moreover, the Minister will attend, on the sidelines of the visit, in the events of the International Conference on Education to be held in London during 19 - 22 January and which will focus on the latest educational developments in the world.
