A delegation of excelling Kuwaiti students visiting the city of Istanbul lauded here Sunday the role of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) in projects throughout Turkey. On the sideline of KFAED's (be outstanding) program, the students told KUNA on separate occasions that their visit to the country was an eye-opener in regards to the fund's involvement in developing the city of Istanbul, adding that they were introduce to the KFAED's role in relief aid efforts during time of crises and natural disasters. Sarah Al-Enizi said that the trip was fully reflective on the KFAED's efforts in Turkey, noting that the program encouraged her "to continue on excelling in her studies as well as developing a sense of national pride towards the role of KFAED in helping others." On her part, Sarah Ahmad called on Kuwaiti students to pursue higher levels of knowledge in order to serve their country as well as support and help nations. She added that the current visit to Istanbul helped her to open up to a new culture and educate her on Turkish traditions and customs. Another student, Lujain Abdulhadi, expressed pride towards KFAED's contributions in Istanbul during natural disasters, indicating that the fund's numerous projects to aid in the rebuilding of earthquake stricken areas makes her a proud Kuwaiti citizen. The students thanked the fund for this special experience and hoped that other students would join future tours conducted by the KFAED to other nations.
