The Israeli army Sunday attacked and closed a Palestinian school in the Old City in Hebron for the fourth day in a row, said a local official. Palestine''s news agency (WAFA) quoted an official in the Hebron Education Department, Sameeh Abu Zakiye, as saying Israeli soldiers gave students a 10-minute warning to evict the school before forcefully dispersing them by shooting rubber bullets and tear gas. Abu Zakiye said Israeli soldiers spread in the Old City, which lies under Palestinian security control, took post at roof tops near the school and detained the school janitor under the pretext of his attacking Israeli soldiers. Palestinians attempting to stop the attack at the school were faced with sound grenades and tear gas, Abu Zakiye added.
