Sheikh Khalid bin Omar al-Marhoon, Civil Service Minister today patronized over the inauguration of 4th Career Fair at Middle East College (MEC), in the presence of Dr. Abdullah bin Saif al-Sabahi, Chairman of MEC Board of Directors and a number of interested personnel and job applicants. Twenty one establishments from public and private sectors participate in this two-day fair. The fair aims at bringing together the academy and the industry under one roof, which will help in establishing a strong understanding and relationship with both ends. The establishments will showcase the nature of their business, human resource policies and other related information for the students to consider an employment either now or in the future. Some of the establishments announced the idea of adapting projects in telecommunications and IT and supporting these projects , providing the opportunity for training, in addition to additional information put forth by other establishments to encourage students joining these establishments. The Civil Service Minister said that the Career Fair will offer an excellent platform for students to showcase their qualifications and possibility of them being recruited by participating establishments, affirming that the governmental and private sectors are complementary to each other and an excellent environment for those who think of building their professional future, adding that career fairs are an encouraging aspect by governmental establishments and officials in announcing their vacancies and an integrating aspect by announcing advantages and opportunities. A comemorative gift was presented to the Civil Service Minister by Dr. Abdullah bin Saif al-Sabahi, Chairman of MEC Board of Directors at the end of the Minister's tour of the fair.
