Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi has today endorse the Scholarship Programme for the School Year 2013-2014. He announced that the scholarships would be granted to students on the basis of standards of meritocracy , without any gender discrimination. The ministry sought to strike the balance between boys and girls taking Bahrain’s needs and the admission terms enforced by some universities. A total of fifty scholarships have been earmarked for students with special needs who meet the terms. Dr. Al-Nuaimi paid tribute to the wise leadership for supporting outstanding students, being Bahrain’s real precious asset. The ministry has allocated a total of 2624 scholarships and grants distribute as follows: (1) 1463 scholarships for public school graduates. (2) 311 scholarships for private school graduates. (3) 800 grants (financial allowances) for outstanding students. (4) 50 scholarships for students with special needs High school graduates with a cumulative average of at least 90% and wishing to vie for the scholarships allocated for 2012-2013 are required to access websites (www.moe.gov.bh) or (www.bahrain.bh) for registration. \"Registration will start tomorrow –June25- and run until Thursday at midnight – June27\", Scholarship Directorate Isa Abdulla Al-Kooheji said.
