Salama Ateeq, President of Salman Cultural Centre of the General Organization for Youth and Sports, said the Spring Camp entitled ‘Badge of Excellence’, is an integral part of the educational programs, since it’s regarded a way of teaching that boosts the practical experiences in various fields. This came on the sidelines of the Spring Camp, held from February 2 to 7 at the centre premises and was attended by 82 students.And in regards to the objectives of the camp, Ateeq noted that the camp is designed to implement the strategy of the General Organization for Youth and Sports to improve the quality of such activities. The camp also aims to provide assistance in preparing young leaders and contributing to comprehensive development among youth and bring qualifying young people who are able to actively participate in the national and social development. It also targets contribution to strengthening the sense of belonging and loyalty to the country and the leadership by deepening the overall concept of the national culture among young people, defining the role of national institutions in protecting the gains of the homeland and preserve its security and stability, and to deepen the concept of national identity and its role in maintaining the nation's culture in addition to make way for emerging to practice the culture of leadership and management.Ateeq revealed several programs that will be presented during the camp, including the art of drawing and coloring, theatre, sculpture, ceramics, photography, public speaking and presentation, and music. There will also be a football tournament, and practical experience of martial arts, and workshops for projects that embody the wishes of the youth and future expectations under the slogan ‘Our wishes’ in the 2013 edition camp. The program also includes field visits to enhance personal knowledge.
