Kuwaiti Ambassador Dr. Rasheed Al-Hamad is on a visit to Alexandria, during which he visited Kuwait High School upon invitation of Alexandria\'s Governor Dr. Osama El-Fouly.Al-Hamad told KUNA, \"the school was named after the State of Kuwait upon the wishes of its founder, Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain. The change is also part of overall re-consideration following the January 25 Revolution to remove reminders of the Mubarak family from names of state institutions.\"Meeting the wishes of Al-Babtain bespeaks Egypt\'s appreciation of his initiative and the overall Kuwaiti support to the educational field in Egypt and beyond, he added.\" The diplomat believed this gesture reflects the strength of bonds between the two people and the active interaction between the two nations in all fields and in the areas of education and culture most specifically.Al-Hamad stressed Al-Babtain, through his \"Foundation of Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain\'s Prize for Poetic Creativity, and through the Saud Al-Babtain Higher Studies Scholarships lends great support to education of Arab youth.\"The Kuwaiti philanthropist and man of letters and culture enthusiast annually sends Arab and Muslim students to study at Egypt\'s renowned Azhar Institute and shoulders the entire expense,\" the ambassador added.Among Al-Babtain\'s great achievements was the very establishment of his foundation of poetic creativity, which is a cultural project of mammoth proportions and value, and his wise choice of Cairo to host the headquarters.Al-Babtain had constructed and furbished four schools and presented them to the Egyptian Ministry of Education in appreciation of Egypt\'s welcome of Kuwaiti students into its schools and educational institutions during the 1990 Iraqi occupation of the country.
