Mediaset Spain has launched yet another new project. Following successful test runs, it will begin regular transmission of its new free-to-air channel, Energy on 9 January. Energy is aimed at a male audience, particularly young men who live in the city. The channel completes Mediaset Spain's TV offer, which also includes Telecinco, Cuatro, LaSiete, Factoría de Ficción, Boing and Divinity, all aimed at different audiences and demographics. The new network will produce its own talk shows and daily late night programming, but will focus mainly on sport. It will broadcast Mediaset Spain's sporting events for public TV, such as the Motorcycling World Tournament's three categories, Euro 2012, the Copa del Rey, the UEFA Europa League, NBA games, the UEFA Champions League and the Fútbol 7 Championship. Other shows will include The Ultimate Fighting Championship, Top Gear, Monster Jam, Humor Amarillo,  Sons of Anarchy, Spartacus and Strike Back. Energy is on the list of national free-to-air channels that the country's main cable operator Ono is obliged to include by law.
