The "AbuDhabi Taxi" mobile App will now be available on iOS and Android supported smart phones and devices, the Centre for Regulation of Transport by Hire Cars has said.
"This user-friendly App which offers convenience to book a taxi in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain region of U.A.E., registers over 25,000 bookings a month (833 bookings a day). And it is a part of a larger initiative titled Smart Government a pioneering initiative in the region which aims to provide government based online services across the spectrum of corporate and community life," according to the Centre.
The launch of the App on iOS and Android reflects Centre's intent to reduce the number of calls received by the call centre.
Several new features to an already extensive feature list have also been added and many more will be introduced in the coming months, the Centre said.
