David Beckham

David Beckham opened up about his possible return to the soccer field in an upcoming BBC documentary titled, David Beckham: Into the Unknown.
The 39-year-old soccer veteran, who retired from professional soccer in May 2013, says in the documentary that he might resume his career playing for the team he is attempting to launch in Miami.
"There's never been a player-owner but maybe?" Beckham says on the show.
Into The Unknown follows Beckham "as he travels 800 miles by motorbike, canoe and plane into the Amazon rainforest on a 12-day trip." At one point in the show, he shares that he's had "a tough time" after retiring from soccer.
Beckham began his soccer career with Manchester United in 1992 at age 17. He went on to play four seasons for Spain's Real Madrid before joining the Los Angeles Galaxy Team in 2007. The soccer star also played for AC Milan in 2009 and 2010 before his 2013 retirement.
Beckham expects the Miami-based team he's looking into purchasing will be playing by 2016 or 2017.
David Beckham: Into The Unknown will air June 9 at 8:30 p.m. BST.
