General Motors announced yet another recall of cars Wednesday, saying its 2004-2008 Aveos and Optras have a headlight overheating problem that could lead to a fire. GM said the cars involved were manufactured by Daewoo in South Korea, which has since been folded into the US company as GM Korea. "GM is aware of some fires in these vehicles but no injuries or fatalities," it said, without providing the numbers of cars affected. Since the beginning of the year the top US automaker has recalled more than 13 million cars and trucks in North America in 29 separate actions for manufacturing and safety problems, as it battles criticism that it hid for years faulty ignitions that have been tied to numerous accidents and 13 deaths.
