GM Korea Co., the local unit of U.S. automaker General Motors Co., is recalling more than 20,000 units of its QM3 crossover SUV due to the defective brake system, the Transportation Ministry said Sunday.

A potential problem in the QM3 mini SUVs could corrode the brake hose and cause the brake system to leak, which may compromise the car's ability to stop, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
