Lexus has debuted its new RX and RX F Sport models at the Geneva International Motor Show. The new RX sports a fascia similar to that of the recently launched GS series. The RX is on show alongside Lexus' LF-LC concept car, which premiered in Europe for the first time, and road-going GS 450h and GS 450h Sport models. Lexus says RX's new appearance is reinforced with the adoption of an F Sport variant for RX 350 and 450h. The suspension has also been revised, adding new dampers and braces to improve "lateral performance", Lexus says. Lexus RX F Sport adds unique exterior styling, including shadow chrome 19-inch alloys, F Sport badging and unique mesh grille inserts. It also adopts a unique black and grey leather-accented interior, front bucket seats, alloy pedals and unique F Sport-badged steering wheel. RX 350 F Sport models also gain paddle shifters on its LFA-inspired steering wheel. It also features controls for audio, telephony and an array of auxiliary systems. All RX models will also feature an updated, second-generation Lexus Remote Touch system. Lexus says the system is more user-friendly and adds digital radio (DAB+) as standard for the first time. "The refresh to RX Line as debuted in Geneva will only serve to strengthen the appeal of what is already one of Lexus' most awarded and popular vehicles," Mr Cramb said. "RX will be the third vehicle to adopt Lexus' all new corporate face, bringing with it greater driving enjoyment, visual appeal and innovative features. "The addition of RX F Sport only reinforces our commitment to offering engaging vehicles and demonstrates our long-term commitment to more than doubling our F Sport range by the end of 2012."
