A magnitude-3.7 earthquake was reported near Soledad, Calif., the U.S. Geological Service said. There were no reports of damage. The quake occurred at 8:16 p.m. Thursday at a depth of 3.5 miles. The epicenter was 2 miles northeast of Pinnacles, Calif., and 15 miles from Soledad. At least a dozen aftershocks were detected into early Friday. The area around Pinnacles National Monument is known for frequent seismic activity, the National Park Service said.
