Forecasters said Hurricane Nadine was expected to lose some of its strength in the coming days as it churned away in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Nadine remained a Category One hurricane at 11 a.m. EDT Sunday with maximum sustained winds of nearly 80 miles per hour, the National Hurricane Center in Miami reported. Nadine was nearly 900 miles west of the Azores and moving east at 23 miles per hour. The center said the storm was expected to begin a slow turn to the northeast Sunday night, which would be accompanied by a decrease in forward speed and strength over the next 48 hours.
