A tuna tagged by fishermen working off the coast Spain seven years ago was caught by fishermen near Venezuela -- nearly 4,000 miles away, officials said. When the fish was tagged in 2006 it weighed 5.5 pounds and was 19.7 inches long, TheLocal.es said Spain's science news agency SINC reported Thursday. Upon recapture, the fish weighed 48 pounds and was 39.3 inches long. The International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas said the 3,958-mile journey was the longest ever for a tagged tuna. A tuna tagged off the coast of Spain was caught in 2007 by a sports fisherman off the coast of Massachusetts after a 3,833-mile trip.
