Cairo - MENA
A team was sent to fix a water pipeline broken as a result of an explosion that occurred outside the Italian consulate in downtown Cairo on Saturday.
The public prosecution is examining the scene and a committee was formed to assess the damage caused from the blast, head of Cairo's central operations room Magdy Sherif said.
Electricity, gas and water were severed at the consulate building as a safety measure, he said.
One person was killed and seven were injured from the blast
