For the first time, the Fourth Green Med Forum (GMF) will kick off in Tunis on Wednesday, Sept.28 and runs for three days, the official news agency (TAP) reported on Thursday. TAP further said that the event ,to be held by the Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (AIPA) in association with “Green Med” magazine, is a Mediterranean initiative aimed to gather the different concerned parties by the private agricultural investment and trade of agricultural product and food industries. Some 120 participants from Tunisia, Italy, France, Turkey, Spain, Morocco, Egypt and Algeria, will attend the forum which ultimate aim is being to create new co-operation opportunities in the farming field. During the GMF, emphasis will be placed on means to develop trade exchanges and boost investment in vegetables, fruits and olive oil sectors. The last novelties in the field of services related to the improvement of quality, promotion of exports in the Mediterranean and making the most of the opportunities offered in co-operation will be discussed. This forum is to provide the opportunity to discuss means to stimulate exports of Tunisian farm products and strengthen opportunities of production of vegetables, fruits and olive oil in the inland regions.
