The new Egyptian-Sudanese agricultural integration project expected to be established on an area of 100,000 feddans in Damazeen area in the Blue Nile state aims to bring in revenues over one billion pounds annually for both countries, a Sudanese expert said on Friday.

The total cost of the project is EGP100 million.

Speaking to MENA, Director General of the Egyptian-Sudanese Agricultural Integration Company's Othman Sayed Ahmed said the issue of building a strong infrastructure is one of the most challenges facing the project.

He asserted that Egypt and Sudan are willing to accomplish the project, calling for providing necessary funds for the project to be an example for further integration projects to invest in reclaiming several arable plots of land in Sudan to provide food security for the two countries.
