South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda opened Wednesday a seawater desalination plant in Nuweiba Port.

The plant operates at a production capacity of 300 cubic meters per day and was implemented by the Armed Forces' Engineering Authority.

The plant will provide pure drinking water instead of depending on mineral water bottles, said the governor, adding that this will end the suffering of pilgrims and passengers.
