A 25-year-old Palestinian was shot in the leg and dozens, including an international activist, suffered tear gas suffocation Saturday when Israeli soldiers cracked down on an anti-settlement demonstration in the southwest of Jenin, local sources said. The demonstration was organized by the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine to mark its 45th anniversary in the village of Tura.The Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters and live ammunition at the demonstrators, injuring one who was admitted to hospital for treatment.
