A number of power pylons were attacked on Monday across the nation, said the board chairman of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company.

The attacks targeted power towers in western Delta and Upper Egypt, Ahmed Hanafi said.

Power loads will be eased in some parts of Upper Egypt, especially in Nagaa Hamadi, South Qena and Safaga due to these attacks, he said.
