The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, NCMS, has today reiterated its previous cautions and warnings to mariners in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, due to the current high seas. The centre said that there will be rain clouds and fresh to strong winds causing blowing dust/sand reducing visibility to less than 1000 metres. It also forecast fresh to strong north westerly winds, rain, thundery clouds and wave heights of 6 - 8/10 ft.
