A 4.5-magnitute quake shook Algeria's northern province of Boumerdes, some 50 km to the east of here, on Saturday night. The Algerian Center for Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics Geophysics located the epicenter of the tremor 27 km to the north of Dellys District in the province. Residents of four nearby provinces felt the tremor which cause neither human nor material damage, according to a statement by the civil defense corps.
