The Emirates Environmental Group yesterday announced the official commencement of the 13th cycle of the Clean Up U.A.E. Campaign, which aims to protect the local environment.
Habiba Al Marashi, Chairperson of Emirates Environmental Group, made the announcement at a press conference in Dubai. She underlined that it is the responsibility of every attendee at the conference to ensure that the message is spread and that awareness becomes instilled in the habits of all citizens in the country.
Representatives of government partners and supporters from all emirates were present to express their commitment to this national event.
It was also announced that the campaign will begin in Dubai on 6th December. "Not only will this be the perfect platform to display cooperation, but it will also be filled with the energy of the U.A.E.'s 43rd anniversary of National Day," according to Al Marashi.
As per the schedule, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain will host the campaign on December 7th, Sharjah on December 8th, Ras Al Khaimah on December 9th, Fujairah on December 10th, Umm Al Qaiwain on December 11th, and the closing day with a tree planting will be on December 12th in Ajman.
Al Marashi also extended her appreciation for the support received from Al Ain Municipality, Sharjah Municipality, the Environment and Protected Areas Authority (Government of Sharjah), Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation (FNRC), Municipality and Planning – Ajman, RAK Public Works and Services Dep., Abu Dhabi Scout Mission, Abu Dhabi Municipality, and Umm Al Qaiwain Public Works and Services Department so far.
