Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker has prioritized the problem of electricity outage as a national security issue.
In press statements on Monday, Shaker said electricity blackouts will not reoccurr in the coming summer.
The ministry has contracted to establish power plants with a total capacity 3,600 MW at a total cost of EGP 2.65 billion, he said.
