Egypt will take part in an extraordinary meeting of the Nile Basin Countries, to be held in Khartoum on Saturday, Egypt's Ambassador here Osama Shaltout said on Tuesday.
Egypt will participate in the meeting with a high-profile delegation led by Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazy, he said.
"Egypt has suspended its participation in the activities of the Nile Basin Initiative, yet it will only participate in the meetings at the ministerial level," he told MENA.
The ambassador added that the two-day event would be an opportunity to raise Egypt's vision on the points of contention related to the Nile Cooperative Framework Agreement.
