Vienna - MENA
Egypt hails the support of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to its plans to develop its nuclear energy program, the country's permanent delegate to the IAEA Khaled Shamaa said on Tuesday.
The support was maximized during IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano's visit to Egypt in April, Shamaa said.
The Egyptian diplomat made his comments during a regular meeting of the IAEA's board of governors in Vienna.
Shamaa called on the body to boost its cooperation with developing nations for encouraging peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
