Cairo - MENA
The majority of industrial plants started to stop the disposal of waste drainage in the Nile River, said Ahmed Abu al Saud, chairman of the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA).
The Environment ministry provided a deadline for all companies to start regularization plan and stop waste drainage in the Nile River.
In statements to MENA, Abu al Saud said that the direct drainage in the Nile River stopped by all 102 industrial plants, except six sugar plants.
The agency sent a committee to inspect all factories close to the Nile River, he added.
