Assiut - MENA
Seven drinking water stations have been reoperated in the Upper Egypt province of Assiut after a shutdown due to an oil spill in the River Nile.
Water samples were checked by the health ministry which proved that the Nile water in the province is safe.
The stations were among a total of 11 ones closed after the leak.
Measures are underway to determine the safety of water near the rest of the closed stations, according to officials.
The spill was caused by a power station near the Nile.
