As many as 18,000 feddans have been cultivated in Mallawi city of Minya governorate, south of Cairo, local authorities said on Monday.

The lands ware cultivated with various crops including corn, sugarcane, sesame seeds, soybeans, peanuts and vegetables.

Also, 29 malfunctions in the city water network have been repaired.
