Orient-Express Hotels has revealed the new Belmond branding that will be used to identify its portfolio hotels, trains and other travel products. The company today unveiled a brand new website, belmond.com, which will be used to showcase its newly-rebranded range of experiences. Using imagery from the company’s destinations, such as Machu Picchu and Rio de Janeiro, the new website will offer information and reservations for all 45 of its global products. Five of these – Venice Simplon Orient-Express, Eastern & Oriental Express, Hotel du Palais in Biarritz, 21 in New York and Madrid’s Hotel Ritz, will retain their original branding. The remaining 40 however, including the newly-renamed Belmond Governor’s Residence in Yangon, Belmond British Pullman and Belmond Safaris in Botswana, will be re-flagged under the new branding. The name ‘Belmond’ derives from the Latin words for ‘beautiful’ and ‘world’. Source: Travel Daily
